Our Family...

Owners, Terry and Dionne are both natives to Stites, Idaho. Their dream of starting their own local log home company came to be in the year 1999. Since then we have been very busy building custom homes, brokering logs and selling wholesale to other companies.  The kids(Tera, Sawyer, Sheldon and Syringa), being mostly homeschooled have been raised in the log yard helping, and learning the tricks of the trade through the years.
We strive to maintain the friendly, family owned atmosphere while serving our customers with professional advice and information on how to turn their life long dreams into reality. We offer many different options and love to hear your ideas! We have many resources to handcraft your creativity and imagination to make your home unique.

About Our Mill Facility...

“We are dedicated to providing quality products while encouraging healthy forest management”

In 2009 we bought a Brand X Sawmill with a hand pulled carriage and our business took a whole new turn. We broke away from being dealers for other companies and have since had the capability to handpick our logs from Idaho forests. We are proud to help support our local economy in this way and help encourage healthy forest management in Idaho County.
In 2015, we decided to expand and put into service an automated mill and moved our business and both mills to our present location just south of Stites. With this new larger mill, we have been able to increase the production of custom homes and open the door to selling more wholesale products. Our little mill has definitely served us well and it still stays very busy producing all of our custom orders, while we are expecting to have the large mill produce the majority of the log home packages.

Introducing Our Pendu

Sloped Wall Log

We are very excited to add the capabilities of our new Pendu log profiler to our home options. The Pendu profiler system feeds logs straight from the mill and into the main chamber where a series of knives shave the log into a variety of different log profiles. The product that we see on the outfeed deck is a perfect, flawless, milled looking log that is easy to assemble. We are now happily able to provide this affordable option for our customers who prefer a more uniform look.

Log Yard Kids

Growing Up In the Rocky Mountains

Sheldon & Syringa

"Growing up, pulling chain off of the mill was considered a chore just as many kids think of doing the dishes.  However, we were just as much children and could often be found skipping off to play as soon as our 'chores' were done."

"My upbringing has definitely influenced me in many ways, and seems to show up in everything that I do. These photos pay tribute to place which shaped us into the people we are today and to the following generations of children being raised off the beaten path. I hope that in this collection of photos, you are able to see the youthful spirit and childlike imagination that shines through the often rough environment and catch a glimpse into the world of the log yard children..."
